Polymer Modified Bitumen

Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) – High-Performance Export Grade — Export from Iran

Available in Grades: PG70-28, PG76-22, PG76-28, PG82-10 and other grades upon request

Polymer Modified Bitumen (PMB) is a high-performance binder produced by blending base bitumen with special polymers (such as SBS, SBR, or EVA). This modification significantly enhances elasticity, flexibility, fatigue resistance, and long-term durability, making it ideal for heavy-duty and high-stress road applications.

We supply premium Polymer Modified Bitumen from advanced blending facilities in Iran, manufactured under strict quality control and in full compliance with ASTM D6373, EN 14023, and Superpave PG specifications. Ideal for modern infrastructure projects in extreme climates.

Note: PG grading (e.g., PG76-28) indicates high-temperature rutting resistance (76°C) and low-temperature cracking resistance (-28°C). Polymer modification improves both performance and lifespan.

Key Notes

  • Polymer Type: Typically SBS (Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene) for optimal elasticity and durability.
  • Elastic Recovery: Measures the bitumen’s ability to return to original shape after stress — key indicator of modification quality.
  • High-Temp Performance: Resists rutting and deformation under heavy traffic and high temperatures.
  • Low-Temp Performance: Prevents thermal cracking in cold climates.
  • Storage Requirement for High-SBS PMB (≥4%): Grades with polymer content ≥4% (e.g., PG76-28) require gentle agitation or recirculation during storage to maintain uniform polymer dispersion and prevent settling. Static storage beyond 72 hours is not recommended without mixing.
  • All batches tested for polymer dispersion and stability.
  • Pre-shipment inspection by SGS included for every shipment.

Applications

  • High-traffic highways and expressways
  • Airport runways and taxiways
  • Bridge decks and expansion joints
